TeamingUp

TeamingUp helps turn groups into high-performance teams. This session is based on giving people the opportunity to discuss their team dynamics and consciously create an environment in which people love the culture and create superior results.

The program begins with activities that allow participants to experience collaboration and effective communication (or the lack thereof) in action. These team exercises create the foundation for addressing the group’s real-world issues.

Next, the team will examine their stage of team development and whether they are, in fact, a team, or just a group of people happen to work in the same department or on a common project.

From there, the team will examine the results of their Team Effectiveness Inventory (TEI) that they completed prior to attending the team building session. The TEI helps the team identify their core strengths and challenges. The assessment provides an anonymous forum for individuals to safely express concerns, feedback, and ideas. The survey process generates participant buy-in for team development, while the results provide a baseline for the team’s level of effectiveness.

The Team Effectiveness Inventory includes survey items related to:

  • Accountability
  • Alignment
  • Communication
  • Conflict management
  • Culture
  • Leadership
  • Leading Change
  • Meetings
  • Results-Oriented
  • Team Cohesion
  • Trust

This survey process is designed for:

  • Needs Analysis: The Team Effectiveness Inventory highlights specific areas of development through quantitative analysis and rater comments.
  • Team Development: Team member evaluation of group dynamics and effectiveness will be used to develop specific goals and action plans.
  • Level-3 Evaluation Of Training: Compare team effectiveness data before and after training to determine the impact of the training program and the effort provided by the team.

Throughout the debrief of the team survey, team members will create a set of Team Ground Rules that define expected behaviors within the team. This session is designed to improve the culture and get results.
