Poor Meetings - The Team Doesn't Hold Meetings - Supervisory Pressures

No meetings due to supervisory pressures. 
Occasionally a team member's supervisor may apply pressure to the member not to attend because of workload, the member's performance, or any number of reasons. The team coordinator should speak with the supervisor to determine the cause and come to an agreement on how the member can participate in meetings.

In some cases it may not be evident as to why the supervisor is creating pressure not to attend. If an organization is just beginning to transition to a teams process, some supervisors may be fearful of losing their jobs. They may also be confused about their role in the new environment. Such confusion and fear may cause behaviors, conscious or unconscious, that tend to create problems for the team.
